The Debut Novel

A spooky detective tale, set in 1899

Antique silver-embossed book cover for the 1899 detective novel

Untitled — Coming Soon

Gaslight on wet cobbles. A city that has agreed, quietly and unanimously, to forget what happened on a particular street. My detective did not agree to anything. What he finds behind the door is not the sort of thing a police ledger has a column for.

A mystery told with a horror writer's patience: everything is withheld until the exact moment it will hurt the most.

About the Writer

Writing since I can remember. Now putting it out there.

I am a writer, and I have been one since long before anyone gave me permission. It is my dream to share my stories properly, with readers rather than with a drawer.

I studied Creative Writing at university and I want to carry that training forward: structure, pacing, the discipline of revision. Right now I work in lawn care to pay the bills, and I would like writing and editing to be the whole of the working day instead of the end of it.

I write mystery, horror, fantasy and science fiction, and I read them just as greedily. That double appetite is what makes me useful as an editor: I know what these genres promise a reader, and I can tell you exactly where your manuscript breaks the promise.
